Their second time to win as champions in the World Series was in 1986. This time, they started really well and gave everyone the feeling that they were going to win again. True enough, the New York Mets were really prepared to win. In fact, they were 20 times victors in their first 24 games. It was in Game 7 when they became the official champion after overcoming a number of three run deficits. They scored eight runs approaching the final three innings. It was 8-5 in favor of the Mets. The names who made a big mark were pitcher Jesse Orosco and Gary Carter who assisted Orosco while dropping on his knees after catching the ball.
