About New Mexico Lobos Memorabilia & Collectibles
They are the varsity sports teams of the University of New Mexico. The New Mexico Lobos is commonly known also as the Lobos. They are jockeying for position in the Mountain West Conference. The team is also a part of the Division I of the National Collegiate Athletic Association. The New Mexico Lobos have two mascots and they are named as the Lobo Louie and Lobo Lucy. In addition, since the their early athletic history, one of the most prominent teams in the New Mexico Lobos is their basketball teams that was able to earn victory in the 1983 NCAA basketball championship. At that time, the team was coached by Jim Valvano. Their basketball team is at present playing in The PIT Arena. Moreover, their football lineup also has triumphs and in the past five years, they have been to four bowl games. The famous rivals they have are the athletic teams of the New Mexico State University.
