A team formed in 1967, the New Jersey Nets is a member of the Eastern Conference in the Atlantic Division. The Nets is presently based in Rutherford, New Jersey. In their 41 years of playing for the NBA, the team already made it to two championship titles, two Conference Titles, and five Division Titles.
The team started to be powerful by the start of the 2000 season when their president, Rob Thorn, drafted very skilled players that include Byron Scott and Kenyon Martin. This selection of very talented players led to their first Conference Title in 2002 against the Boston Celtics and their second Title in 2003 against the Detroit Pistons.
