Their teams for women are called the Lady Bears. The Missouri State Bears are the varsity sports teams of the Missouri State University. And they are on behalf of the university in the Division I of the National Collegiate Athletic Association. The team was founded in the season of 1908. On the other hand, the team’s mascot is named as Boomer the Bear. In addition, the colors that are representing the team are maroon and white. One of the famous team that they have is their basketball team that was able to appear in six NAIA Men’s Basketball National Tournament. And the first head coach of their basketball team was W.A Daggett. Daggett only served the team for two seasons and it was from the season of 1908, since the Missouri State Bears was founded and up to the season of 1910. Corliss Buchanan then took the place of Daggett in 1910.

It is the Missouri State Bears that is representing the Missouri State University and according by many sources, they are included in the NCAA Division I Football Championship Subdivision.
