About Miami Heat Autographed Hats
If you’re going to get a hat, better get one that truly stands out, like an autographed hat from one of the hottest basketball teams, the Miami Heat. One of only two National Basketball Association teams representing the great state of Florida, Miami Heat was first founded in 1988, along with Orlando Magic. It was chosen from a tight race between three different groups in Florida all hoping to land a franchise. In the beginning, the team’s name was a choice between Miami Heat and Miami Vice, a popular television show during that time. In the end, Miami Heat won the vote of the majority.
Miami Heat started off slow, spending many seasons in mediocrity and having poor picks in the beginning drafts. Eventually though, they were able to reach the playoffs in 1991 making them the first of the late expansion teams ever to go so far. Though they were toppled in three games against the Chicago Bulls, the Heat still made quite an achievement, with player Glen Rice landing 10th in NBA’s overall scoring.
The years that followed brought many changes to the team in terms of players and ownership. In 1995 Pat Riley became the Heat’s new head coach who led them to the playoffs, only to be thwarted by the Bulls yet again. By the next season the team came to play with a vengeance, and became NBA’s most improved team. They won their first Atlantic-Division title with the help of new players P.J. Brown
, Dan Majerle, Voshon Lenard and Jamal Mashburn, but lost again to the Bulls at the playoffs.
The team suffered many losses after that, before rising up again in 2003 with the acquisition of Shaquille O’Neal and Dwayne Wade; and by 2006 they won their first NBA championship. Today Miami Heat continues to stay strong with its three key players, Dwayne Wade, LeBron James and Chris Bosh.
