The Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim compete in the MLB's American League West Division and are based out of Anaheim, California. The west coast ball club has been in Major League Baseball for over 50 years, originally as the California Angels before changing their name to pay tribute to their home city of Anaheim starting in 1997. The Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim have called Angel Stadium their home ball park since 1966.
The Angels have been one of the best teams in baseball during their existence, taking home eight division titles, a wild card berth, an American League pennant, and a World Series championship.
