They are also known as the “Clones”. The Iowa State Cyclones are the athletics teams of the Iowa State University. They are part of the Big 12 Conference and they are locking horns in the National Collegiate Athletic Association Division I. At present, the Iowa State Cyclones are fielding 16 varsity teams in the 12 sports that they have. Furthermore, they have their basketball team that started to play from the season of 1892. But they ended it up in the season of 2000 to 2001. There basketball group on the other hand has been 13 times into the NCAA Tournament. They also have Final Four appearances and were able to win six regular conference titles. Since the day the Iowa State Cyclones were established, they are playing their football game in the Jack Trice Stadium. They also have their basketball arena that is in the Hilton Coliseum. The mascot of Iowa State Cyclones is named as the Cy the Cardinal.
