The Harvard Crimson is competing in the Division I National Collegiate Athletic Association. They are the athletic teams of the Harvard University. There were said to be 41 Division I intercollegiate varsity sports teams for men and women as of the season of 2006 that encompass the Harvard Crimson. Few of the conferences where the team is taking part in are the Ivy League, Eastern Association of Rowing Colleges, Eastern Intercollegiate and Wrestling Association. Moreover, one of the most famous teams that they have is their football team that started to compete since the season of 1873. Since the day it was founded, they were able to win ten national championships. On the other hand, the first NCAA championship of the Harvard Crimson was achieved by their men’s ice hockey that was able to earn victory in the 1989 NCAA Championship.
