The Denver Nuggets, founded in 1967 as the Denver Rockets, started as a team playing for the NBL and later joined the NBA in 1976. The team plays for the Western Conference of the Northwest Division. The Nuggets had already snagged eight Division titles, five of which came from the NBA.
In their years in NBA, the Nuggets proceeded to the Conference Semifinals only seven times. Since 1994, the Nuggets have been suffering years of decline. They only made it to the first round of the playoffs six times and yet never preceded to the conference semifinals. Their recent accomplishment is their 2006 Division Title.
