Linebacker Tom Jackson (1973-1986) was the first of the Denver’s greats to be inducted in the year 1992 for his achievements and was the member of the far farmed Denver defense  which was then nicknamed as the orange crush in the early 70’s. The later years witnessed the induction of players like Steve Atwater (1989-98) in the year 2003 and Gary Zimmerman (1993-97). Elway was also the first Denver player to waive a period of five years.

Denver has witnessed the services of players like Randy Gradisher (1974-1983), Rich Jackson (1967-1972), Bill Thompson (1969-1981), and Frank Tripucka (1960-63). The ring of fame currently holds 21 inductees with Terrell Davis (1995-2002) being the latest inclusion in the year 2007.
