Denver Broncos, over the years has emerged as a famous football club of the AFL, which entered into the scene of sporting arena in the year 1959.
Denver Broncos are one of the pioneer clubs which helped in laying the foundation of the American football league. Furthermore it’s the first team to defeat a NFL team. Denver showed its class by Qualifying for the super bowl for six times and winning it consecutively in 1997 and 1998 respectively.
The club’s own hall of fame was introduced in 1984, as an effort to laud the accomplishments of its own player by the club owner Pat Bowman.
In 1984 Rich Jackson (1967-1972) was first claim his honors for his remarkable performances for the club. Coming years witnessed the induction of legends like Steve Atwater (1989-98), who was inducted in the year 2003, Randy Gradisher (1974-1983)inducted in 1989, Bill Thompson (1969-1981) in 1987, and Frank Tripucka (1960-63) in 1986.
Later in the year 1999, Quarterback John Elway (1983-1998),was inducted into the hall of fame to honor his sparkling 16 year career, the day he announced his retirement from professional football. He was famous as a player with 4th quarter routine comebacks. He was awarded the MVP trophy in 1998 acknowledging his breathtaking season of 1998.
Shannon Sharpe (1990-2003) was inducted in the year 2009.
