They are a professional ice hockey team that stood in Denver, Colorado, United States. They are at present part of the Northwest Division of the Western Conference of the National Hockey League. The team started their victorious career from the seasons of 1972 until at present time. They were one of the World Hockey Association’s original teams. They then entered the NHL in 1979. It was owned by Marcel Aubut. When the team financially struggled, he asked for a bailout from the Quebec’s provincial government. On August 10, 1995, the team was subsequently presented as the Colorado Avalanche. Eventually, they became the second NHL franchise that was able to play in the City. In the same year too, the team was purchased by COMSAT Entertainment Group. The deal to buy the team was officially announced to public on July 1, 1995. When the company bought them, they prearranged its Denver sports franchises.
