After the team was relocated to Foxborough in 1971, the Boston Patriots changed its name to New England Patriots. They are also commonly known as the “Pats”. They are professional team in football that is based in Greater Boston area. They are playing their home games in Foxbourough, Massachusetts at Gillette Stadium. The Boston Patriots was first established on November 16, 1959. It is when the Boston executive whose name is Billy Sullivan was awarded to eight and final franchise of the said developing American Football League. In 1970, the team was then placed in the AFC East Division when the NFL and the AFL merged. A year after that, they were then moved to a new Stadium.
The team is a part of the East Division of the American Football Conference and that is in the National Football League. Originally, the team is a member of the American Football League.
