Soccer goalkeeper, Jason Brown is currently playing for the Blackburn Rovers. He was born in Southwark, England on May 18, 1982.

He began his career at Premier side Charlton Athletic. When he joined in competitions, he moved to Gillingham. Brown started on the bench for Gillingham but due to some poor performances by the number one goalkeeper, Vince Bartram, Brown startedthe final 10 games of the said season. Brown’s playing manner, shot-stopping, and steady kicking led to his very good career position and was soon established to be the team’s number one keeper. It was during the 2002/03 season when he notched up 44 powerful starts in all competitions. It was also in that season when Brown gained international recognition as he was able to win his first Wales U-21 cap.

It was in the end of the 2005/06 season when he re-established himself as the team’s first-choice goalkeeper. Brown was also voted the fans’ player of the year for his incredible performance in the 2005/06 season and was also hailed in the Wales team for a game against a Basque XI. Brown then decided to sign for Blackburn Rovers on June 26. He had his debut for Blackburn on October 1 being a substitute in a 2-1 victory over Wigan Athletic and was able to save a penalty.
