Ray Knight spent eight seasons with the Red before joining the Astros where he saw extensive duty at first base before going to the Mets for three minor leaguers in 1984. Ray earned Comeback Player of the Year honors for his 1986 season (.298 11 HR 76 RBI) while platooning with Howard Johnson. Knight hit the decisive homer in Game Seven of the 1986 World Series after scoring the winning run in Game Six on Mookie Wilson's grounder through Bill Buckner's legs.
