Mark Buehrle is a pitcher at the very top of his game. A model of consistency and durability Buehrle has pitching at least 200 hundred innings a year from 2001-2008. Buehrle played a key role in the Sox winning the 2005 World Series and on April 18 2007 he threw a no-hitter against the Texas Rangers at U.S. Cellular Field in Chicago. The no-no was the 16th in team history the first at home since 1967. As if that wasn’t enough Buehrle followed up his No-Hitter in 2007 by throwing a Perfect Game on July 23rd 2009 against the Tampa Bay Rays at U.S. Cellular Field completing the feat in 116 pitches. Even more remarkable Buehrle retired the first 17 batters he faced in his next start on July 28 bringing his consecutive outs streak to 45 before allowing a base-runner - an MLB record. Mark Buehrle has hand signed this 8x10 photograph of him celebrating his No Hitter and added the inscription 'No Hitter 4-18-07.'
