Product Information
Joe Torre has led an amazing life in baseball. From 1960 to 1977 he played for the Braves Cardinals and Mets batting .297 and hitting 252 home runs. He was 1971's NL MVP and played in nine All-Star Games. Torre became a manager in 1977 serving as the skipper of the Mets Braves and Cardinals before taking the helm of the New York Yankees in 1996. It was Torre's calm demeanor and peerless managing skills that in 1996 led the Yankees to their first World Series title in almost 20 years. Over the course of his 12-year run as manager of the Bronx Bombers the team won three additional World Series and reached the playoffs every year. Among his other accomplishments he was AL Manager of the Year in 1996 and 1998 managed the AL All-Star squad six times and on June 7 2007 won his 2 000th game as a manager. Using a silver marker Joe Torre has hand signed this 16x20 vertical photograph of him being carried off the field by his players after the Yankees defeated the Mets to win the World Series in 2000. A Steiner Sports Certificate of Authenticity is included. SKU:SS*TORRPHS016000
