Carl Yastrzemski made his Major League debut with the Boston Red Sox in 1961 and for the next 23 years he proudly wore his famous '8' for the Sox. He had an extraordinary batting style and unmatched skill in patrolling the grounds in front of the Green Monster and during Boston's 'Impossible Dream' season in 1967 he won the American League Triple Crown and was named the A.L.'s Most Valuable Player.
