Product Information
Clay Bucholz knows how to make a memorable impression. On Sept. 1 2007 the Boston Red Sox' talented young pitcher threw a no-hitter against the Baltimore Orioles. It was just Bucholz' second start and it tied him with Wilson Alvarez for the distinction of the second-fastest no-hitter by a MLB hurler. The no-no was the first ever by a Red Sox rookie and just the 17th in Red Sox history. Ironically the Red Sox selected Bucholz in the 2005 MLB Draft using a pick they obtained from the New York Mets as compensation for losing Pedro Martinez. Using a blue ballpoint pen Clay Buchholz has hand signed this MLB baseball on the sweet spot. A Major League Baseball Certificate of Authenticity is included. SKU:SS*BUCHBAS000000
