Blaine Gabbert had a stellar debut in 2009, he was given the reins to the offense and immediately showcased his talent as the first-string man under center for the Tigers, throwing for more than 300 yards and three touchdowns in his debut as the starter, while finishing the season as one of the highest-rated passers in the nation. As a junior, he put up similar statistical totals while improving his accuracy and led Missouri to a 10-win season before announcing that he would forgo his senior season and enter the 2011 NFL Draft as one of the countrys top up-and-coming quarterback prospects. After being redshirted as a freshman in 2008, Aldon Smith started 11 of 13 games at defensive end in 2009. He finished the season with 60 tackles and 11 sacks.
