BRUCE MCLAREN: 1937-1970) New Zealand born, Race Car Driver, Designer, Engineer and Inventor. The McLaren Team has gone on to be the most successful team in Formula 1 history with 20 World Championships. McLaren totally dominated Can Am racing with 56 wins. The Indianapolis 500 has been won three times, as has the 24 Hours of Le Mans and the 12 Hours of Sebring. McLaren won Four Formula 1 races (1959 United States Grand Prix, 1960 Argentine Grand Prix, 1962 Monaco Grand Prix and the 1968 Belgium Grand Prix) He won the 1966 24 Hours Of Le Man; He was Can Am champion in 1967 and 1969. He won the 1968 Brands Hatch Race of Champions and the New Zealand Grand Prix in 1964. He was killed while testing a Can Am MD8 at the Goodwood circuit. Joakim "Jo" Bonnier: (1930-1972) Swedish born Formula 1, and Sports Car driver. Formula 1 he won the 1959 Dutch Grand Prix driving for BRM. He was a driving force behind establishing of the Grand Prix Drivers Association. An advisor to the 1966 Movie "Grand Prix" starring James Garner. As a Sports Car Driver he won the 1960 Targa Florio with Hans Hermann; the 1962 12 Hours Of Sebring with Lucien Bianchi; the 1963 Targa Florio with Carlo Mario Abate; the 1964 event at Montlhéry,, the 1964 12 Hour race at Reims. His last victory was with Graham Hill at the 1000km Nurburgring. He died as a result of an accident at Le Mans. Christabel Carlisle: Female auto racer who competed in Sports and Saloon Cars, Rally Cars and Endurance races. Competed during the 1960's until 1963 when ".... a couple of nasty accidents...." curtailed her career.
