San Jose Sharks

The San Jose Sharks jersey has not been around for long, but there have been a few changes since the team began in 1991. The Sharks franchise brought hockey to the Bay Area for the first time in nearly 30 years, and the team was named due to a contest that was held by team officials. The team logo was instantly created. Their logo consists of a shark biting through a stick. This logo is surrounded by a green and black triangle around the shark. The original jersey was quite simple, and it consisted of a white jersey with black and green striping. The team played with these jerseys for several years as they struggled to fit in the National Hockey League’s competitive atmosphere, but in 1997, the jerseys changed once again. This jersey was teal with modern stripes on the sleeves, and it also had black borders on the sides of the jerseys. This new jersey design did not last long, and in 1998, the team wore new jerseys that were very similar to the 1997 version. In 2001, the team replaced the alternate jersey with a new jersey that had two stripes on each sleeve. With the introduction of these jerseys, the secondary logo was again used on the tops of the shoulders. Since 2007, Patrick Marleau and the rest of the team have used either a teal jersey with black, orange, and white stripes on the sleeves and the waist, and black shoulders, or they have worn white jerseys with teal, black, and orange accents depending on whether they were home or away. The alternate jerseys that are currently worn by Rob Blake and others, is a black jersey with thick teal stripes surrounded by thin white stripes on each sleeve. These jerseys require the players to tie the jersey together at the upper chest area instead of just pulling the jersey over their head.

The Sharks franchise started slowly, but in recent years, the team has emerged as a regular competitor in the National Hockey League’s post season. Led by players like Evgeni Nabokov, the team has quickly become competitive in their league once again. With recent additions like Dany Heatley, the team has built a solid lineup that should be able to raise its level of play and compete at a higher level. These players have entertained fans with brilliant shots, lights out defense, and thrilling hits that combine to form one of the scariest lineups in the league. Players are cheered on by thousands of fans screaming wildly during each home game, and many fans are optimistic, and with good reason, for the Stanley Cup to be brought home to the San Jose Sharks.
