FL Panthers
The Florida Panthers jersey has for the most part always had the following colors: red, blue, yellow-gold and white. The first home jersey had white as its primary color. In 2007 the primary color was changed to dark blue. Yellow, red and white stripes marked the end of the sleeves and the bottom of the jersey. The Florida Panthers jersey took on an entirely new style in 2000 with the creation of the Reebok Edge jersey. The road and home jersey share the same design with varying colors. A five bar strip pattern lines the inside sleeve at the elbow and a red band extends from the shoulder all the way down the sleeve. The Florida Panthers road jersey, which was originally dark, red, is now primarily white. The red in the color scheme has since been dropped and replaced with a baby blue. The 2009 Florida Panthers alternate jersey introduced baby blue into the color scheme with dark blue as its primary color. The Florida Panthers jersey has always had a fierce, aggressive panther leaping forward with outstretched claws as its main logo. In 1998, an alternate logo was created. It featured the opposite ends of a broken hockey stick in the paws of the panther. On the dark blue and baby blue jersey, the head of the roaring cougar is used as the logo. Another distinctive logo is that of a sun crossed by a palm tree and hockey stick. This logo can be found on the shoulders of the jerseys. The Florida Panthers began as a National Hockey League expansion team. Their first season was the most successful season ever of a first-year team. The Florida Panthers set the records by scoring eighty-three points. Although the team since then has faced some setbacks, it continues to strengthen. The team now has famous hockey players Eddie Belfour and Pavel Bure among others. Pavel Bure, former player of the Vancouver Canucks, was traded with another player as an agreement between the two hockey teams. Well-known player Bryan Mccabe plays defense for the Panthers. Stephen Weiss, despite his numerous injuries, has as of recently, began picking up speed and played two consecutive career-high seasons.
