Buffalo Bills

Buffalo Bills’ jerseys The Buffalo Bills’ jerseys made their National Football League debut in 1960. The team originally wore royal blue jerseys, with white and silver as the secondary and accent colors. The jerseys first worn by the Buffalo Bills were very similar to the jerseys that had previously been worn by the Detroit Lions, and it is even rumored that the Buffalo Bills teams were given old jerseys from the Lions. These jerseys were only worn for two seasons however, and the team quickly switched to more popular uniforms. From 1962-1973, the Buffalo Bills’ jerseys were red, white, and blue. The team wore white jerseys with red and blue accents, and the team’s logo was first introduced during this period. The logo was a red standing buffalo that was located on the plain white helmet that was worn by the team’s players. During this time, O.J. Simpson became the first National Football League player to rush for more than 2,000 yards in a single season. The team was fairly successful during this era, and the fans flooded team stores to purchase uniforms to emulate their favorite players. In 1974, the team again switched jersey styles. The team began wearing blue jerseys with white numbering and red accents, white pants, and a white helmet with a blue facemask. It was also during this time that the team changed the logo to a blue charging buffalo with a red stripe. This logo has not changed since this time, and the logo is still used today. From 1984-2002, the team wore blue jerseys with red helmets. The red helmets still had the blue charging buffalo, and the team continued to wear white pants. The jersey that is currently worn in Buffalo is the jersey that was redesigned in 2003. Because of the influence of the fans, the Buffalo Bills updated their jerseys to a modern looking uniform. These uniforms were blue and red with white accents, a red helmet, and dark blue pants. Although the team’s uniform has changed many times, the fan base that has cheered for this team no matter what they are wearing, and as of late, the team has been quite unsuccessful. Each season, the fans buy Lee Evans jerseys among others, and cheer their team on to victory. Marshawn Lynch jerseys were also popular when he was with the team, but sales have tapered off since he left the Bills.  Fans have been disappointed in recent years as the Buffalo Bills have been absent from the National Football League playoffs several times in the past decade. The team does have a rich history however, and fans are eager to see the team succeed again. No matter what happens to the success of the Buffalo Bills, it is apparent that the fans will continue to support the team and young stars like Josh Reed, and it is likely that fans will show up to the games decked out in their Buffalo Bills jerseys and apparel to cheer on the home team.
