AZ Cardinals
The Arizona Cardinals’ jerseys are one of the oldest jerseys in all of sports. The Cardinals date back to 1898, when they were located in Chicago, Illinois. Ever since the 1898 team, the Cardinals have always worn cardinal red, and white. The original jerseys were plain, with just red and white. They included the players’ numbers, but no logo or name was on the uniforms. The first major change came in 1947, when the Cardinals’ logo was first used. The first logo consisted of a cardinal perched on the laces of a football. This logo lasted for about 13 years, and in 1960, the logo that is similar to the look that is now popular was introduced. In 1960, the team also moved from Chicago, Illinois to St. Louis, Missouri. The next change came in 1988, when the team moved again. Following a move to Phoenix, Arizona, the team added sleeves to their uniforms, and began displaying an Arizona state flag on their jerseys. In 1994, the team wore throwback jerseys that were similar to the uniforms worn in the early days of the Cardinals. These jerseys were just plain red with white pants, and they had white lettering and numbers on the jersey. In 2005, the cardinals updated their cardinal head to make it more realistic. The team also began using black as a third color to accent the red and white. In 2006, after a 6 game losing streak, the team decided to wear red pants to change their luck. The red pants were a hit, and since then, the team has worn red pants with their white jerseys. Since then, the team has not changed many aspects of their uniforms, but occasionally, the team will wear a jersey that has been worn before. Mostly, the team just wears either the red jerseys and white pants, or the white jerseys with red pants, depending on whether the game is home or away.
The Cardinals have had many players that have become very successful in the NFL. Recently, Kurt Warner helped lead the team to the Super Bowl, but the team has been in the middle of the pack ever since. Some of the most popular jerseys that are sold by the Arizona fan store include Larry Fitzgerald jerseys, Edgerrin James jerseys, Kevin Butler jerseys, and more. The team has been fairly successful lately, and has had a few playoff runs in recent years. The jerseys worn by this franchise are one of the oldest jerseys in sports, yet they have changed very few times. The jerseys are still the same white and red, but minor changes have been made over time to keep up with the evolving society and materials that are available.
