Joe Mays (full name: Joseph Emerson Mays; no nicknames) played pitcher from 1999 until 2006 for the Minnesota Twins, Kansas City Royals and Cincinnati Reds. He played for the Twins from 1999 - 2005, Royals in 2006 and Reds in 2006. Over 7 seasons, he started 156 games, won 48 games, struck out 512 batters, and had a 5.05 ERA. Born on December 10, 1975 in Flint, MI, Mays stands 6' 1" and weighs 160 lb. He attended Southeast (Bradenton, FL) high school and was drafted by the Seattle Mariners in the 6th round of the 1994 amateur draft. His debut was on April 7, 1999 and he played his final game on July 22, 2006. Over his career, Mays made $21,200,000.
