Ziggy Palffy (full name: Ziggy Palffy; no nicknames) played right wing from 1994 until 2006 for the New York Islanders, Los Angeles Kings and Pittsburgh Penguins. He played for the Islanders from 1994 - 1999, Kings from 2000 - 2004 and Penguins in 2006. Over 12 seasons, he played 684 games, scored 329 goals, and made 384 assists. Born in Skalica, Czechoslovakia on May 5, 1972, Palffy stands 5-10 and weighs 183 lbs. He was drafted by the New York Islanders in the 2nd round (26th overall) of the 1991 NHL Entry Draft. Palffy officially announced retirement on January 18, 2006.
