He played for the Cardinals from 1982 - 1999, Athletics in 1990, Giants from 1991 - 1994 and Red Sox in 1995. Over 18 seasons, he played 2201 games, hit 79 home runs, drove in 1010 runs, and stole 352 bases. Born on November 2, 1958 in San Francisco, CA, McGee stands 6' 1" and weighs 175 lb. He attended Harry Ellis (Richmond, CA) high school and was drafted by the New York Yankees in the 1st round (15th pick) of the 1977 amateur draft (January Secondary). Player signed June 6, 1977.
