William Franklin (full name: William Thomas Franklin; Will, Bill) played Forward from 1973 until 1976 for the Virginia Squires and San Antonio Spurs. Over 3 seasons, he played 107 games, scored 657 points (6.1 ppg) and grabbed 400 rebounds (3.7 rpg). Franklin also dished out 65 assists (0.6 apg), made 6 steals (0.1 spg), and blocked 5 shots (0.0 bpg) during his career. Born in Norfolk, Virginia on October 19, 1949, Franklin stands 6-7 and weighs 220 lbs. He attended high school at Norfolk in Norfolk, Virginia and college at Purdue University. He was drafted by the Golden State Warriors in the 7th round (13th pick, 110th overall) of the 1972 NBA draft.
