Willard Nixon (full name: Willard Lee Nixon; no nicknames) played pitcher from 1950 until 1958 for the Boston Red Sox. He played for the Red Sox from 1950 - 1958. Over 9 seasons, he started 177 games, won 69 games, struck out 616 batters, and had a 4.39 ERA. Born on June 17, 1928 in Taylorsville, GA, Nixon stood 6' 2" and weighed 195 lb. He attended McHenry (Rome, GA) high school. His debut was on July 7, 1950 and he played his final game on July 4, 1958. Common misspellings of his name include Willard Lee Willard Nixon.
