He played for the Giants from 1942 - 1949, Braves from 1950 - 1952, Reds from 1952 - 1953 and White Sox from 1954 - 1955. Over 11 seasons, he played 1246 games, hit 130 home runs, drove in 583 runs, and stole 14 bases. Born on February 8, 1921 in Richmond, VA, Marshall stood 6' 1" and weighed 205 lb. He attended Manchester (Midlothian, VA) high school. His debut was on April 14, 1942 and he played his final game on June 15, 1955.
