William Charles Wolford is from Louisville, Kentucky and previously played as an offensive tackle in National Football League. His former teams include the Buffalo Bills, Indianapolis Colts, and the Pittsburgh Steelers.
He went to school at the Xavier High School in Louisville where he was given an honorable mention in the All-State basketball. Then, he played for the Commodores (1982-1985) where he was left-guard and tackle before earning All-SEC honors in his senior year. He played football in college at Vanderbilt University.
Wolford was then selected as the 20th overall pick in the 1st round of the 1986 NFL Draft by the Buffalo Bills. He stayed with the team for 6 years including AFC championships. He played in the team’s first Super Bowl appearances before he left for Indianapolis. He signed as a free agent with the Indianapolis Colts in 1993 and spent 3 seasons with them and another 3 with the Pittsburgh Steelers before retiring.
One of the Wolford’s career highlights is when he was inducted into the Tennessee Sports Hall of Fame in 1997. His best individual moments were undoubtedly his 2 Pro Bowl selections for the Bills and another in Indy. He took over color analyst duties for the world champion Colts in 2007 season where he worked with Bob Valvano.

He played 191 games, starting 191 of those. Born in Louisville, KY on May 18, 1964, Wolford stands 6'5 and weighs 294 lbs. He attended college at Vanderbilt. He was drafted by the Buffalo Bills in the 1st round (20th overall) of the 1986 NFL Draft.
