Whitey Wietelmann (full name: William Frederick Wietelmann; no nicknames) played shortstop, second baseman and third baseman from 1939 until 1947 for the Boston Bees, Boston Braves and Pittsburgh Pirates. He played for the Bees from 1939 - 1940, Braves from 1941 - 1946 and Pirates in 1947. Over 9 seasons, he played 580 games, hit 7 home runs, drove in 170 runs, and stole 14 bases.
