Whit Wyatt (full name: John Whitlow Wyatt; no nicknames) played pitcher from 1931 until 1945 for the Detroit Tigers, Chicago White Sox, Cleveland Indians, Brooklyn Dodgers and Philadelphia Phillies. He played for the Tigers from 1931 - 1933, White Sox from 1933 - 1936, Indians in 1937, Dodgers from 1939 - 1944 and Phillies in 1945. Over 16 seasons, he started 210 games, won 106 games, struck out 872 batters, and had a 3.79 ERA. Born on September 27, 1907 in Kensington, GA, Wyatt stood 6' 1" and weighed 185 lb. He attended high school. His debut was on September 16, 1929 and he played his final game on July 18, 1945. Over his career, Wyatt made $17,500.
