Wendell Young (full name: Wendell Young; no nicknames) played goalie from 1986 until 1995 for the Vancouver Canucks, Philadelphia Flyers, Pittsburgh Penguins and Tampa Bay Lightning. He played for the Canucks from 1986 - 1987, Flyers in 1988, Penguins from 1989 - 1995 and Lightning from 1993 - 1994. Over 10 seasons, he played 187 games, scored 0 goals, and made 10 assists. Born in Halifax, Nova Scotia on August 1, 1963, Young stands 5-9 and weighs 181 lbs. He was drafted by the Vancouver Canucks in the 4th round (73rd overall) of the 1981 NHL Entry Draft.
