Wayne Riley is a professional golfer who hails from Sydney, Australia. He interest in the sport as early as a young boy and continued to pursue his golf career during his studies. He began to play professionally in 1977 and had his first game in the field of professional golf in the PGA Tour of Australasia. He won a number of tournaments during his first few years as a professional which include the Australian Open in 1991. He became the champion of the said tournament after John Morse who was hailed as the champion in 1990 and was succeeded by Steve Elkington in 1992.
He also joined the qualifying school of the European Tour in the 1984 season. However, he had his first win in the European tournament in 1995 when he defeated Carl Masson. He spent twenty years in the European tour and has bagged the Portuguese Open Championship in the 1996 season after winning against Adam Hunter. In 1995, he joined the Order of Merit and finished at the eleventh place in the said tournament. He also played for the country in the Alfred Dunhill Cup but unfortunately did not bagged any win.
He had a total of eleven professional wins as of this season.
