Wayne Desmond Grady was born on July 26, 1957. A professional golfer, he hails from Brisbane and became a pro golfer in 1978. He stands 5 ft. 9 in tall and weighs 160 lbs. A champion of the PGA tour 1990, he also finished as a runner up of the 1989 The Open Championship where he was defeated by Mark Calcavecchia. He also lost to Greg Norman in that game. He became a member of the PGA in U.S. when he joined the 1984 Qualifying School. He played mostly in America and at times in the European Tour. He won in the 1984 German Open.
He won several tours including the 1978 Westlakes Calssic and the 1989 World Cup of Golf where he joined Peter Fowler as a team. He won the Australian PGA Championship twice, in 1988 and 1991. He also bagged the 1993 Indonesian PGA Championship and won the 2007 Australian Senior Open.
He became the chairman of the Australian PGA Tour Board in 2005. Likewise, he is an owner of a golf tour company and one golf design business. Since 2000, he has been commentating on televised golf games in BBC.
