Wayne Cooper (full name: Artis Wayne Cooper; Wayne. Coop) played Center-Forward from 1979 until 1992 for the Golden State Warriors, Utah Jazz, Dallas Mavericks, Portland Trail Blazers and Denver Nuggets. Over 14 seasons, he played 984 games, scored 7777 points (7.9 ppg) and grabbed 6095 rebounds (6.2 rpg). Cooper also dished out 852 assists (0.9 apg), made 295 steals (0.3 spg), and blocked 1535 shots (1.6 bpg) during his career. Born in Milan, Georgia on November 16, 1956, Cooper stands 6-10 and weighs 220 lbs. He attended high school at Telfair County in McRae, Georgia and college at University of New Orleans. He was drafted by the Golden State Warriors in the 2nd round (18th pick, 40th overall) of the 1978 NBA draft.
