About Wade Redden Memorabilia & Collectibles

Wade Redden is a National Hockey League player who is currently part of the New York Rangers team. He spent his childhood years in Saskatchewan where he played softball and hockey as a young boy. He had his minor hockey career at the Hillmond High School where he started to showcase his great performances and also had as stint in the Mid West Red Wings. He also played for the Lloydminster Blazers and the Brandon Wheat Kings. He was awarded as the Rookie of the Year in the said league. Aside from his appearances in the mentioned teams, he also played as part of the Canadian national team that competed in the World Juniors Hockey Championships.

 

He joined the National Hockey League when he drafted by the New York Islanders in the National Hockey League Entry Draft. However, he did not play for the team and was then traded to the Ottawa Senators. With the team, he showed continuous improvement and logged 37 assists with three point performances.

 

In 2002, he was included in the All Star Game in the National League which again happened in the 2004 season. Among the awards he received are NHL Plus/Minus Award in 2006 and the NHL Defensive Player of the Month in January of 2004.

Wade Redden (full name: Wade Redden; no nicknames) played defenseman from 1997 until 2010 for the Ottawa Senators and New York Rangers. He played for the Senators from 1997 - 2008 and Rangers from 2009 - 2010. Over 13 seasons, he played 994 games, scored 106 goals, and made 344 assists. Born in Lloydminster, Saskatchewan on June 12, 1977, Redden stands 6-2 and weighs 205 lbs. He was drafted by the New York Islanders in the 1st round (2nd overall) of the 1995 NHL Entry Draft.
