An excellent quarterback from Annabella, Utah, Virgil Carter was born on November 9, 1945. He was one of those who have been distinguished as one of the most outstanding players in the history of football. He is best noted particularly from his alma mater, the Brigham Young University from Provo, Utah, as the first quarterback to have succeeded in the NHL. He was the first man also to direct his college to their first-ever participation in football conference finals in the year 1966.
Virgil Carter had his debut in the NHL with the
Chicago Bears in 1968. A season after such time, he was transferred to the
Cincinnati Bengals and had spent two years with the said group. He was also with the Chicago Fire in the World Football League. He was established to be the leading passer in the WFL in the year 1974. However, he was unfortunately limited from his football appearances due to an injury he got in 1975.
Later on, he hopped from Bengals team to the
San Diego Chargers. He was then absorbed back by the Chicago Bear. The said team was the same group he had been during his early beginnings in the national league. The team is currently based in Chicago, Illinois and is a member of the National Football League’s North Division.

Born in Anabella, UT on November 9, 1945, Carter stands 6'1 and weighs 192 lbs. He attended college at BYU. He was drafted by the Chicago Bears in the 6th round (142nd overall) of the 1967 NFL Draft.
