About Vinny Paz Pazienza Memorabilia & Collectibles

Vinny Paz is a retired professional boxer and is Italian American. During his games, Paz was introduced as “The Pazmanian Devil”. Vinny Paz is also known as Vincenzo Edward Pazienza. Paz was born in Cranston, Rhode Island and won against Robert Elizondo which allowed him to gain popularity in the Eastern Coast.

In 1987, Paz battled Greg Haugen for the IBF World Lightweight title and was able to claim the win after 15 rounds. In 1988, Paz tried to claim the Junior Welterweight title by going against Roger Mayweather. However, Paz was unsuccessful with his bid. He also went against Hector Camacho and Loreto Garza.

In 1991, Paz went against Gilbert Dele for the WBA World Junior Middleweight Champion and took the title after knocking out the latter after eleven rounds. After being involved in a car accident, Paz had to relinquish the title after he was told that he would never be able to box again.

However, Paz went on to win against Luis Santana three months after the car accident. Paz went on to beat Roberto Duran in two matches and even tried to win the super middleweight title by going against Roy Jones Jr. Paz was the first to beat Dana Rosenblatt after four seasons.
