Victor Cruz (full name: Victor Manuel Cruz; no nicknames) played pitcher from 1978 until 1983 for the Toronto Blue Jays, Cleveland Indians, Pittsburgh Pirates and Texas Rangers. He played for the Jays in 1978, Indians from 1979 - 1980, Pirates in 1981 and Rangers in 1983. Over 5 seasons, he played games, won 18 games, struck out 248 batters, and had a 3.09 ERA. Born on December 24, 1957 in Rancho Viejo, La Vega, D.R., Cruz stood 5' 9" and weighed 174 lb. He attended high school. His debut was on June 24, 1978 and he played his final game on October 1, 1983. Common misspellings of his name include Victor Manuel Victor (Gil) Manuel Victor Cruz.
