He played for the Dodgers from 1945 - 1947 and Pirates from 1948 - 1950. Over 6 seasons, he started 100 games, won 50 games, struck out 340 batters, and had a 3.68 ERA. Born on September 20, 1922 in Reedley, CA, Lombardi stood 5' 7" and weighed 158 lb. He attended Tulare (Tulare, CA) high school.
