Vern Ruhle (full name: Vernon Gerald Ruhle; no nicknames) played pitcher from 1974 until 1986 for the Detroit Tigers, Houston Astros, Cleveland Indians and California Angels. He played for the Tigers from 1974 - 1977, Astros from 1978 - 1984, Indians in 1985 and Angels in 1986. Over 13 seasons, he started 188 games, won 67 games, struck out 582 batters, and had a 3.73 ERA. Born on January 25, 1951 in Coleman, MI, Ruhle stood 6' 1" and weighed 185 lb.
