Vern Kennedy (full name: Lloyd Vernon Kennedy; no nicknames) played pitcher from 1934 until 1945 for the Chicago White Sox, Detroit Tigers, St. Louis Browns, Washington Senators, Cleveland Indians, Philadelphia Blue Jays, Cincinnati Reds and Philadelphia Phillies. He played for the White Sox from 1934 - 1937, Tigers from 1938 - 1939, Browns from 1939 - 1941, Senators in 1941, Indians from 1942 - 1944, Blue Jays in 1944, Reds in 1945 and Phillies in 1945. Over 12 seasons, he started 263 games, won 104 games, struck out 691 batters, and had a 4.67 ERA. Born on March 20, 1907 in Kansas City, MO (All Transactions), Kennedy stood 6' 0" and weighed 175 lb.
