Over 16 seasons, he played 1080 games, scored 57 goals, and made 275 assists. Born in Fagersta, Sweden on March 26, 1964, Samuelsson stands 6-1 and weighs 205 lbs. He was drafted by the Hartford Whalers in the 4th round (67th overall) of the 1982 NHL Entry Draft. Samuelsson officially announced retirement on February 12, 2001.
