 Udonis Johnesl Haslem was born on June 9, 1980 in Miami, Florida. He is National Basketball Association Player who started playing basketball at University of Florida. He attended highs school at Miami Senior High School in Florida and in Wolfson Senior High School. He played as a center in college and was significant in helping the Florida Gators gain their popularity again. He was part of the team that advanced to the NCAA Men’s Division I Basketball Championship and the crowd shouts “U” after he show off his great plays. He was the third highest pointer in the school’s history with 1, 782 points and ranked tenth in most number of rebounds with 831.

 

He was a late preseason draft of the Atlanta Hawks because of his weight problems after college. He made a deal with a professional basketball team in France, the Chalon-Sur-Saone. While playing for the said teams in France, his weight reduced by 70 pounds. He was then included in NBA as part of the Miami Heat. He was included to the NBA All-Rookie Team in his first year in the league. He was an integral part of the team, being the team’s robust rebounder. Reviews say he complements Shaquille O’Neal’s playing style and this helped much in the team’s game in the Eastern Conference Finals.

 

He bagged one NBA championship in 2006 in which he logged 17 points and recorded a career-high score on November 10, 2006 with 28 points.
