Ty Warren is an American professional football player. He was born in Bryan, Texas and took his college education major in agricultural development at Texas A&M University. In college football, Warren played across the defensive line in his career, starting games at both tackle and defensive end. Warren is 6 ft. 5 in. and 300 lbs.
He started his professional football career in the National Football League after he was drafted by the New England Patriots during the 2003 NFL Draft where he was a first round pick of the team during the draft. Bill Belichick, Patriots’ head coach, impressed by Warren's college performance that they made a trade in order to get him in the first round of the 2003 Draft. In his rookie season in 2003, Warren played in all 16 games, starting four of them and recording a thirty three tackles and one sack.
Warren claimed his first career sack when he sacked quarterback Jay Fiedler of the Miami Dolphins. Warren earned his first Super Bowl ring playing as a reserve in the Patriots' win in Super Bowl XXXVI against the Carolina Panthers. Warren had improved his statistics in 2006, recording a career-high of eighty four tackle. During the 2008 season, Warren's games were reduced to 13 due to a groin injury. In 2009, Warren started the first eight games before he missed the Week 10 matchup versus the Indianapolis Colts due to an ankle injury.
