 A member of the Baltimore Orioles organization, Troy Patton is a professional baseball player who hails from Spring, Texas. He started to showcase his baseball skills as a high school baseball varsity athlete in Tomball High School.

 

Before making his way up to the Major League Baseball, he had his first few years of professional career in the Minor League Baseball. After being selected by the Houston Astros in 2004 as a 9th round pick in the Major League Baseball amateur draft, he began to appear for the Corpus Christi Hooks, a minor league teams. He also had a stint with the Round Rock Express also from the minor league.

 

His Major League Baseball debut finally came on August 25, 2007 for the Houston Astros. After spending his first few rookie seasons with the Astros, he was traded to the Baltimore Orioles together with a few other teammates. That trade sent Miguel Tejada to the Astros. However, he was not able to play in any game for the 2008 season after suffering an injury in his left labrum. As of the 2009 season, he has logged 0-2 record with 8 strikeouts and an earned run average of 3.55.
