Also known as “Big Game”, Torry Holt is a professional football player in the National Football League and has been playing since the 1999 season. Holt is currently playing for the New England Patriots as their wide receiver. Holt comes from a family of football players. His younger brother Terrence Holt is a safety in the league.
Holt attended East Guilford High School where he was named into the All-American selection of Prep Football Report and received All-State Honors as well. Holt went to North Carolina State University and had a stellar senior year performance. He was named as the ACC Offensive Player of the Year and made it to the first team of the All-American selection. Holt was one of the finalists for the prestigious Fred Biletnikoff Award.
Selected by the Rams during the first round of the 1999 NFL draft, Holt was off to a good rookie season. He was able to make a total of six touchdowns for that season and was with the team when it played and victorious in the Super Bowl XXXIV. Holt was named as the 1999 Rookie of the Year. Holt has played in a total of seven Pro Bowls and made it to two All-Pro selections.

Torry Holt (fullname: Torry Jabar Holt; no nicknames) played from 1999 until 2009 for the St. Louis Rams and Jacksonville Jaguars. He played 173 games, starting 159 of those. Born in Greensboro, NC on June 5, 1976, Holt stands 6'0 and weighs 190 lbs. He attended college at North Carolina State. He was drafted by the St. Louis Rams in the 1st round (6th overall) of the 1999 NFL Draft.
